The last time Juventus played a Champions League match, in the quarter-finals of the 2008-09 season, they were thrashed 4-1 by Udinese.
Last week, they drew 1-1 with Udinese, but the last time they played a competitive Champions League fixture was back in April 2015.
The game was a classic of the “best team to play in the best league in the world” format, in which Juventus were the dominant force and Udinese were the team who were “not in form”.
In that game, the first half was the best in the history of Juve.
Their last victory was against CSKA Moscow in the 2015-16 season, where they went on to win the title.
This time, the Bianconeri will be playing at home, with the away game against Ander Lecht a week away.
Juve are currently tied for the second-best points difference between the teams in the Champions League, with just over two points separating them and second-placed Real Madrid, with a total of 21 points separating the sides.
Ander lecht are in second place in the table, and have the most points in the competition, with 14 points, just three off the pace of Juves.
The last three games are the most difficult for Juve to win, with four games to play and two in their home league.
Udinese are the favourites, with their recent form suggesting that they can win the Champions Ligue 1 title, and a trip to Turin in the last 16.
It’s difficult to say who will be the better team, as both teams have shown the potential to be competitive.
What will happen?
It is important to note that Juve have been playing very well already this season, with them winning the league on home soil and taking four points from three games.
It is the most important match for Juventas supporters, and they will be very hungry to end the season unbeaten.
There are two important points to remember for Juventus fans, firstly, that this game will be played at home in the league, which is where the Biancocelesti currently sit.
And secondly, that it is important for the Biancan’s supporters to support the team in front of them, even if it is on the road.
What to watch for: The first half will be one of the most intense matches of the season for Juves fans.
The Bianconeste have been performing exceptionally well at home this season and will be looking to take that momentum into the match.
They are still only a point behind leaders Paris Saint-Germain, and if they can keep the pressure on Udinese in the first 30 minutes, they will have a real chance of reaching the final.
