HealthCare.gov is designed to help people find the best medical services and get paid the best possible rate, but it is also meant to help them get the training they need.
And in some cases, it is not clear what the training requirements are.
“In the past, I have been told that a medical assistants job training is required when you log on to HealthCare,” said Dr. David M. Schanzenbach, president of the American Medical Association, in an email.
“It is not.
However, I do think that a nurse practitioner (or other health care professionals) job training requirement is more appropriate.
It is not mandatory to get a job training in a medical setting.”
A medical assistant is a health care professional who specializes in delivering care to patients and also is trained to do so in a professional manner.
“A medical aide will provide a basic set of skills and provide support to the patient, who is also expected to maintain a safe and healthy lifestyle,” according to the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
A new job in medical assistant training?
A new job for you?
In addition to a new medical assistant job, the new regulations include a new requirement for medical assistant to complete a refresher course in “the art and science of providing care to a patient and maintaining health.”
The new job requirement requires that a student complete a job preparation course that covers topics such as physical examinations, lab work, medication and vaccines.
A refresher program can be found at the American Academy of Family Physicians website, and it covers topics like nursing and dietetics.
“I think that the reason why there is no refresher requirement for nurses is because we do not see that they are needed,” said Kristina R. Johnson, senior vice president of health care at the Medical Society of Washington, which represents the American Nurses Association.
“Nurses and other health professionals do not have that kind of expertise.”
Another reason why a refresheme may not be needed is that most people have seen medical assistants on television, but they may not understand the process.
A refresher for a nurse?
A refreshement for a health aide?
“It may be time for the nurse to take a refreshers course, but if it is an individual who does not have a background in nursing, it may be best to not require a refreshere,” said Johnson.
