Train Museum, a former model train store in Kansas City, Mo., will reopen with a new fitness center that will offer both personal and group workouts, according to a statement from the company.
The new gym will be in a former store that had been demolished by the city in 2011.
The renovated facility will also offer more than 10,000 square feet of indoor exercise space, according the statement.
The company also said it plans to open a new restaurant and other retail outlets as well as a new train museum, with the opening date to be determined.
Train Museum was founded in 2007 by former model and fitness trainer Jody Smith and the company has operated a model train retail location in Kansas since 2010.
It also has operated two model train train stores in New York and Chicago.
Train Museums is owned by the Kansas City-based Smiths.
Train Musik, the former model model train museum in New Orleans, reopened last year.
The first-floor facility will have the model train’s original model train display, as well the model model shop, model model and sport model store, model train station, model shop and model train and sport train models, according a news release from Train Museum.
It will be the company’s first indoor exercise center in the country.
The model train model store has been in Kansas for more than 20 years, and was the model store of the model trains in Kansas in 2013 and 2014, according an announcement by Train Museum on its website.
The current model train will be renamed “Train Museum,” according to the release.
Train museum’s website also offers a free, seven-day training program.
